This is one of the super-Friulian wines that revolutionized the Italian white category. More delicately pressed than the old methods, and making use of the French art of blending, the wine is superbly balanced and elegant, along with a body and integrated acidity that is the hallmark of Friulian wine. The slightly aromatic Sauvignon character is the driver here, while the others round it out and complexify with hints of crystaline honey and meadow flowers, along with a gentle minerality. The French style of understatement is in in force here. |
