Combining fruit from a whos who of the appellations most renowned vineyards, this cuvée harmoniously brings together the acidity, structure and stone fruit flavors of grapes grown on the windswept slopes of Gaps Crown Vineyard, the crème brulee and graham cracker elements of Durell Vineyard, the high-tone green apple and Muscat character of Dutton Ranchs heirloom clones and Zio Tony Ranchs lush and appealing tropical flavors. The natural richness and mouthcoating density of the 2009 vintage is supported by sophisticated hints of minerality and a refreshing structure that adds length and focus. Region Description. In California, This is a 500,000 acre wine region spanning from San Pablo Bay to the border of Mendocino County. The appellation runs down the coast of the Pacific Ocean and is known for its cool climate and high rainfall. The grapes that produce the best wines from this region are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
