| Description: | 93 BH. The wood treatment is a bit more prominent on the spicy red and dark berry aromas that flash plenty of earth and sauvage nuances. There is a bit more verve to the big-bodied, intense and muscular flavors that exude evident minerality on the balanced, palate coating and impressively long finale. Here too patience will be beneficial. - Allen Meadows, Burghound. Tortochot's Mazi Chambertin has won multiple awards at the Concours General de Paris including 2 gold medals, a silver medal. Mazi-Chambertin borders both Chambertin Clos de Beze and Ruchottes Chambertin. It is always in very short supply from any vintage much less the heralded 2019. |
