It exhibits a perfume of mineral, spring flowers, honeysuckle, and lemon custard. Supple-textured, dry, ripe, and balanced, it offers up plenty of mid-palate fruit leading to a lengthy finish. The Colonial Estate is the Australian project of Englishman and Bordeaux chateau owner Jonathan Maltus. His 45 hectares in Saint-Emilion encompass Le Dome, Ch. Laforge, Clos Nardian, and Ch.
