Chartogne-Taillet Le Rose Brut NV (750ML)

From Champagne

Description: 93 Ws / 93 JS / 92 Ag / 91 Wa / 91 Jd. A crowd-pleasing rosé, this offers finely tuned, mouthwatering acidity paired with fruit-forward flavors of candied cherry and black currant, macerated plum, pastry dough and spiced nut. Displays lovely texture and a lingering finish. Drink now through 2020. 185 cases imported. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator. Chardonnay dominates pinot noir here 60-40, the pinkish salmon colour is arrived at with a dash of red pinot noir from Les Orizeaux, it smells of sour cherries, almost flinty stony minerals and a gently spiced biscuity edge. The palate has a smooth and creamy texture, oozes charm and plays off generosity with restraint to great effect. Really fresh, really fine, drink now. - James Suckling. The Nv (2015) Brut Le Rosé is another gorgeous Nv Champagne from Alexandre Chartogne. Pliant, bold and resonant, with striking depth and exceptional balance, Le Rosé is just stunning in this tasting. Bright red berry fruit, blood orange, mint and rosewater envelop the palate in a deep, resonant Champagne that delivers the goods. Big time. This release is based on 2015. Dosage is 4-5 grams per liter. Disgorged: January, 2021. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media. Entirely based on 2012, the Nv Le Rosé Brut is a blend of Pinot Noir from Orizeaux and Chardonnay from the lieut-dits Heurtebise and Chemin de Reims. The wine opens with a pure and refreshing mineral bouquet of red fruits. Pretty complex and tension-filled on the palate, this is a serious and complex Rosé with a long and persistent finish. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate. The Nv Champagne Le Brut Rosé is a pale shimmering pink hue, with 60% coming from Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Noir, with 8% of the Pinot being vin rouge. It has a delicate savory touch, with sea spray, apricot, and strawberry. The palate is open-knit and approachable, with ripe raspberry, and it is medium-bodied and rather tasty. Its refreshing style can stand alone or at the table. Drink 2023-2030. - Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com
