Located in Melgaço (Portugal's northernmost point) it is protected by a range of mountains that create the conditions necessary for the best ripening of the Alvarinho grapes. Quinta de Soalheiro is family-run and their dedication to wine is expressed in elegant, vibrant wines. The work is currently managed by Maria Palmira Cerdeira and her children, Maria JoĂŁo Cerdeira and AntĂłnio LuĂs Cerdeira, the Quinta's winemaker. The "Allo" is a second label of Quinta de Soalheiro that offers real value because the wine is amazing. Pale straw color with aromas of mineral quartz and mineral salts. The palate reveals nice weight (medium-bodied) and structure. Bright acidity with limestone and white flowers. A touch of tannins that helps offer structure and a drier finish. Food pairings: All seafood, salads, appetizers, mussels, shellfish, vegetables dishes, etc. |
