Henri Magnien Corton Grand Cru Les Grandes Loileres
Vintage: | 2021 |
---|---|
Description: | More ruby in the colour, a little more density than for La Coutière. The bouquet has a light floral touch but with some red berry fruit beneath. At the lighter end of Corton, but on the palate the wine puts on weight. Nothing heavy and the tannins are fine, while the fruit persists nicely. Drink from 2026-2031. Tasted: November 2022 Jasper Morris 89-92. Moderate wood can be found on the ripe aromas of mostly plum and black currant with background hints of earth and the sauvage. There is again very good volume and solid concentration to the tautly muscular larger-scaled flavors that also coat the palate with dry extract on the youthfully austere, compact and firm finale. This well-made effort use better depth, which should reasonably occur. Burghound 90-93 |
