Marziano Abbona Dogliani Papa Celso

Dolcetto

Vintage: 2018
Description: Dogliani is a neigbor to the great Piedmont vineyards of Barbaresco and Barolo, and produces the best red wines made from the indigenious Dolcetto variety. The 2013 Marziano Abbona Dolcetto di Dogliani Papa Celso is aged for 10 months in stainless steel tanks, with an additional 2 months in bottle before release. Ripe and rich, this Piedmont red offers fresh fruit and floral notes with good structure and a long finish. Wine maker notes The winery's flagship wine, Papa Celso is dedicated to the memory of Celso Abbona, father of Marziano, who planted every vine in the Doriolo vineyard. The wine is exclusively produced with grapes from this vineyard. It is our most important Dogliani, made from grapes grown on vines over 60 years old that give the wine a pleasant balance between elegance, power, and harmony. Producer We make traditional wines, and we're not afraid to say so. We're proud of our identity. Every wine that knows how to inspire must also know how to tell its story, its own history Marziano Abbona The history of the Abbona winery is full of hard work and challenges, but also loyalty to tradition and passion for experimentation. At the heart of the story are the hills of the Langhe and hard work in the vineyards, but also the territory of Dogliani and one of its most extraordinary products: Dolcetto.
