The décor of the case represents the cartography of the Ch. Lagrange vineyard & follows the exact contours and topography of plot N89, giving it a unique design and sense of place. This unique case is made up of 6 bottles, 1 bottle each:. Château Lagrange 2016 (95 Wa / 95 Vm). Château Lagrange 2019 (96 De / 95 Wa). Château Lagrange 2020 (95+ Jd / 95 Wa). Château Lagrange Cuvée Hauts Bois 2016 (100% Cabernet Sauvignon). Château Lagrange Cuvée Hauts Bois 2019 (100% Cabernet Sauvignon). Château Lagrange Cuvée Hauts Bois 2020 (100% Cabernet Sauvignon). Amongst all the plots of Cabernet Sauvignon, plot N°89 known as "Les Hauts Bois", planted in 1985 on the estate's southern gravel slope, is exceptional. Each year it provides the finest batches that make up the Château Lagrange Grand Vin. Its gravelly soil provides excellent drainage, whilst its clay content ideally redistributes the hydric reserves. It is a terroir that allows Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to attain perfect maturity, with small, concentrated berries. Following the ethos of continuous improvement and to illustrate the spirit of innovation that drives our teams, we have selected three great Médoc vintages: 2016, 2019 and 2020. Each one proposes a version of Cabernet Sauvignon, with the blended Château Lagrange Grand Vin accompanied, in counterpoint, by a bottle of the 100% Cabernet Sauvignon single plot selection "Les Hauts Bois", in the same vintage. These illustrate the skilful work of creating balance in the blend and the majestic expression of our Cabernet Sauvignon. |
