Jean et Sebastien Dauvissat Chablis les Preuses Grand Cru (750ML)

Jean et Sebastien Dauvissat Chablis les Preuses Grand Cru (750ML)

From Chablis

Vintage: 2019
Description: 92-94 Bh / 90-92 Jm. A subtle but still noticeable application of wood surrounds the elegant mix of white peach, apricot, sea breeze, floral and shellfish scented nose where a hint of phenolic character appears. The dense, serious and powerful middle weight plus flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the old vines Vaillons though there is still plenty of underlying material, all wrapped in an equally long finish that is enhanced by the citrus-tinged acidity. This too is very much built-to-age and will require extended patience if you wish to enjoy it at its probably peak. - Allen Meadows, Burghound. Les Preuses is aged for the first year in wood, the second year in tank. The lower part is old vines, those above were replanted in 2008. The bouquet is clean, but reticent. Impressive wealth of fruit, this has exactly what one would expect from Preuses on the palate with the requisite depth, some white pepper spice and just enough acidity., some warmth at the back, but within limits. - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
