| Description: | The source for the Forster Riesling is in the village of Deidesheimat the edge of the Haardt Highlands of the Pfalz. The soils consist of mostly loamy sand, subsoil: new red sandstone detritus, limestone and basalt alterations with layers of clay. Mostly wood fermentation, the intensity is raised up a couple notches with lemon grass, thyme, lime, apples and acidity that sticks to the gums. |
