Vinification: Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel vats; Raised in used American oak barrels for 3 years with 6 manual rackings; Aged in bottle for at least two years before release; Unfiltered. Character: Complex, full-bodied, smoothly textured, ripe dark fruit, tobacco, leather, coffee bean, and umami. Pairing: Lamb, Beef, Venison, Roasted Meats. Time Atkin 93 Points - "This graceful, elegant, old-school Rioja comes from three parcels in the Sonsierra, covering the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa sub regions. Showing the freshness and restraint of an Atlantic vintage, it's floral, sweet and gamey, with some tobacco leaf and forest floor notes and a volatile lift."
