Today, this 37-acre winery rests in the hands of Harald's son, Fabian, a trained enologist. Unlike most Brunello estates, La Magia's grapes derive from a single organically grown vineyard, which sits at between 1,300 and 2,130 feet above sea level in Sant'Antimo, where Monte Amiata serves as a buffer for bad weather. At the same time, seaside breezes from the ocean, just 24 miles away, caress the grapes with balmy temperatures.
