| Description: | 94 pts Descorchados Coastal comes from Valle Hermoso, Matetic's vineyard in the Casablanca D.o. and just 10 kilometers from the Pacific. With a majority of clone 242, which offers tropical notes and lusher palates, this is a clear example of a marine sauvignon, very much in the style of the fresh, herbal whites with pronounced acidity that are produced along the Chilean coasts. What puts this Coastal ahead of many of those examples is its depth of flavors. 92 pts Vinous The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Eq Coastal from Casablanca was fermented in amphorae, cement and stainless steel. Greenish yellow in hue. The restrained nose presents notes of chamomile, herbs and hints of rue, cucumber, lavender and lime, but this really comes alive in the mouth, with a compact texture channeled by the heightened freshness, good fat and a long-lasting, citrusy finish.
