| Description: | A vineyard that has been in the same family since the 16th century is a rarity in St. Émilion. This small, traditional house maintains 15 hectares of vineyards, dedicated mostly to Merlot grown on the region's typical gravelly clay soils. Notes of lightly grilled plums atop crushed blueberry are balanced with a streak of lingering clean acidity. 2008 was a complex vintage, but this wine fared well with a supple, textured attack and a lingering finish. |
