Description: | "Light-bodied and lively, this accessible white has a stony base note and flavors of Honeycrisp apple, ginger, apricot and lemon zest. Drink now. 8,333 cases made. –an" (ws). "Subtle aromas of dried peaches and lemons follow through to a full body and lots of fruit, but there's a tangy, electric, vibrant finish of edgy acidity. Excellent. One of the best Falanghinas out there. Drink now." (js). Winery Notes:. Occupying a sort of middle ground between Greco and Fiano, literally and figuratively, is Falanghina. It borrows some of the piney fragrance of Fiano and some of the juiciness of Greco to create a refreshing, mostly coastal white. Unlike Fiano and Greco, Falanghina is not usually showcased on its own; however, when done on its own, it proves to be a versatile and fresh white wine. Tasting Notes:. Color:. Pale yellow. Bouquet:. Rich and intense aroma of fruit with hints of apple, pineapple, quince and pear. Flavor:. Fresh and clean in the mouth with excellent acidity, good structure. Pairings:. Versatile enough to serve for the whole meal; ideal with appetizers, soups |
