| Description: | Winemaking is a tradition within the de Clock family. Originally from Holland, Jean Clock settled in Bordeaux in 1679, and decided to cultivate a vineyard. Le Chateau Font-Mars is situated on the property at Meze. The vineyards cover 55 hectares and the terroir contains three different kins of soil: pliocene marin in the south, river formation in the west along the river Negue-Vaques, and clay-chalk soil in the Northeast. Winemaker Notes Pale straw yellow. Bright and lemony fresh on the nose. On the palate zippy flavors of citrus, peach, fresh herbs, and oyster shell with a touch of richness. Fresh and zingy with a sea salt-laced finish. |
