Zorah Voski Dry White Armenia
Vintage: | 2020 |

Description: | Zorah's Voski White is composed of 50% Garandmak and 50% Voskeat, native Armenian white wine varieties grown on their own roots in the highlands (4,500 feet in altitude). The grapes are grown on phylloxera free terroir with low vigor, sub-alkaline, sandy soil rich in limestone and large stones. The grapes are hand-picked. Only the best bunches are selected and the grapes are fermented on their own yeasts in unlined cement tanks. We found this white to be rich, deliciously interesting and very elegant with good acidity. The 2020 (a cooler year than usual) opens with a very delicate aromas of white flowers, white pepper and stone fruits. The texture is lovely, soft and very approachable; the wine lingers nicely in the mouth. This is a very easy drinking and strangely alluring white wine, quiet at first but intriguing, a wine to sit and think about, or just drink! This is a white that benefits from time in the glass to warm up a bit and allow the flavors to develop. |
