Champagne, J. Lassalle "Preference" Premier Cru Brut Nv
Description: | Jules Lassalle established this family-owned Champagne house in 1942 in the village of Chigny-Les-Roses on the Montagne de Reims. Today, his granddaughter, Angéline Templier, is the winemaker at the Estate. As an independent grower-producer, J. Lassalle farms its own vines and produces wines exclusively from estate-grown fruit. Their "Preference" is crafted from 60% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay with an average vine age of 50 years. Secondary fermentation too place in bottle and the wine rested on its lees for 48 months prior to disgorgement. It has a dosage of 8g/L. Look for notes of strawberries and raspberries intermixed with lemons, apples, and toasted wheat bread. You will find the bubbles to be fine and persistent. |
