This Saperavi, the best known of Georgias red grapes, is from 45 year old ungrafted vines, hand harvested and destemmed, the fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts. The wine is bottled un-fined and unfiltered and at no point in the wine making are sulfites added. This is a rich, full-bodied red with structure and grippy tannins, with air the wine shows dark red and black fruit (plums, cherries, boysenberries), spice, and a dense structured earthiness.
