| Description: | Lumen Escence is the first orange wine ever produced by Lumen. They picked their favorite Pinot Gris at Sierra Madre Vineyard a few weeks early, which means it had low sugars and high acidity, then fermented on the skins for a full 12 days. This vineyard is SIP Certified Sustainably Farmed. Pale copper/salmon color in color, the nose shows ripe golden apple, pear, candied lemon, honeysuckle, waxy, blanched nut, and fennel frond. On the palate, ripe strawberries and cream, lively and creamy all at once. Rich mid-palate with tons of snap and vigor. Honeysuckle, ginger and apple skin all merge on the palate. Just the slightest grip from the skin contact. |
