Mouton Cadet

Vintage: 2016
Description: Winemaker Notes

An intense vermilion red with a slight crimson tint. The nose opens on aromas of ripe fruit such as Burlat cherry. Airing brings black fruit notes to the fore, especially blackberry, Burlat cherry and bilberry, along with a touch of mild spice. In her constant quest for innovation, in 2004, she gave Mouton Cadet a new, more fruit-forward style. The bottle, designed by Baroness Philippine herself, also got a makeover.
Philippine de Rothschild died in Paris on 22 August, 2014. Her three children, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Camille Sereys de Rothschild and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild, both members of the
Philippe Sereys de Rothschild succeeded his mother as Chair of the Supervisory Board in September 2014 then became Chairman and Ceo of the family company in April 2018.
While continuing his grandfather’s, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, and his mother’s, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, remarkable work, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild is determined to further enhance Mouton Cadet’s reputation worldwide and proud, with the launch of the 2015 vintage, to open a new chapter in the history of a great brand.
With his sister, Camille Sereys de Rothschild, and his brother, Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild, they are guided by the same ambition: to open a new era for Mouton Cadet and take the brand even higher, even further!
