| Description: | The Mason's Cab (named after one of Randy's grandsons) started out as selected barrels from mountain vineyards that didn't quite fit any of their other Cabs. However, these barrels contained stellar wine, so they blended them and crafted a new wine! Still aged in French oak like its "bigger brothers", Mason's has since taken on its own identity, and judging by the high demand of the Mason's bottling here in our store, we'd say Randy and his team are doing things right!. Wine Spectator 93 Points - "Ripe and solidly built, with waves of warmed cassis, plum reduction and blackberry puree inlaid deftly with anise, violet and singed alder notes. The long, focused finish has a nice tug of earth at the end. Best from 2023 through 2035.". |
