Isabel Mondavi Pinot Noir Willamette Valley I'M

Pinot Noir

Vintage: 2009
Description: Wine maker notes The Pinot Noir hails from the Willamette Valley, a cool climate area in Oregon known for expressive Burgundian style wines. Rob frequently travels north to check the harvest and oversee production. The grapes are harvested from two prized vineyard sites; one farmed sustainably and LIVE certified, the other farmed biodynamically and DemeterĀ® certified. Our Pinot Noir wine has a brilliant garnet color. On the nose, bright cherry aromas with cherry blossom top notes lead to red fruit flavors and a hint of exotic spice, such as cardamom and star anise. The entry is smooth with even texture through to the finish. Pair this versatile wine with salmon, duck, and cheeses made from cow or sheep milk. Producer For four generations the Mondavi family has crafted world-class wines in the Napa Valley. In 1999, Michael Mondavi, together with wife Isabel, son Rob Jr., and daughter Dina, purchased the land to plant the Animo Vineyard in Atlas Peak. Today, the family-owned Estate is comprised of two distinct Napa Valley vineyards with unique growing conditions and terroirs.
