Kurtatsch Sauvignon 'SELECTION' Line
Vintage: | 2020 |
---|---|
Description: | This is a crisp, cooler climate Sauvignon Blanc from the steep slopes of the northern Italian Alto Adige/Sud Tyrol region. This really shows the variety's vibrant acidity that stands above the crunchy fruits. James Suckling 90 Points - "Nice white-currant nose thats reminiscent of the Loire Valley. Sleek and very crisp, the acidity at the finish quite pronounced, but we feel the wine carries this well.". "Sauvignon vines prefer airy sites with limestone soils such as the steep slopes of Cantina Kurtatsch between 400 and 600 meters above sea level on sandy, gravely soils, rich in dolomite. The grapes are kept cold in the press to lightly extract from the aromatic Sauvignon Blanc skins. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel." - Winery Notes |
