| Description: | Chris Pettinger has put together another vintage of esoteric whites from the Sierra Foothills, to which we wonder if there is better domestic white blend for the money. 54% Chenin Blanc (Clarksburg), 22% Vermentino, 21% Semillon, 2% Muscat, and 1% Picpoul. Aged in neutral oak with lively flavors and aromas of lemon/lime, prickly pear, white flowers, honeydew melon, and sun baked pears. Some mild orange citrus provides a roundness to the acidity that ties the wine together. |
