South African Brut NV Graham Beck 750ml
Description: | Grape: 51% Chardonnay, 49% Pinot Noir. Region: South Africa> Western Cape. Notes: Methode Champenoise. Minimum intervention farming. Description: Graham Beck was the celebratory drink of choice both at Nelson Mandela's inauguration and Barack Obama's presidential win. An all-around crowd-pleaser and extremely versatile bubbly crafted from a selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. After settling of the juice, the two varietals are fermented separately. They are then cross-blended along with reserve wine, if necessary, bottled and matured for 15 to 18 months yeast contact before disgorgement. Light yeasty aromas, white flowers, and secondary tones of limey fresh fruit on the nose. The exceptionally fine mousse contributes finesse on the palate with notes of mushroom, limestone, medium toast, and a touch of saline. Food pairing: As an aperitif, crudo, most seafood, bitter greens, etc. |
