There are only a few producers around, the vintage is always on the old side, it's old school in all the right ways and (oh, yeah) it's yummy. A blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera this 2005 is an earth-first red with wonderfully resolved edges and local spice. Tarry and dark, this is a wine to impress the wine geek in your neighborhood - at a minimal outlay. |
