Leclerc-Briant Rose Extra Brut NV (750ML)

From Champagne

Description: 92 Jd / 91 Ws / 16.5 Jr. Disgorgement date: July 2022. 93% Chardonnay and 7% Pinot Noir. Coming from the 2020 vintage and made from 93% Chardonnay, with 7% Pinot Noir vinified as red wine from the Côte des Bars, the pale salmon-colored Nv Champagne Extra Brut Rosé is fresh and attractive, with a floral and stony perfume of crushed stones, rose petals, candied peach, and strawberry. Medium-bodied, it's juicy and elegant on the palate and balanced with a lively, peppery mousse, with a clean finish. A very pretty wine, it's approachable now or over the next 10 years. 2.8 grams per liter dosage. Disgorged June 2023.-Audrey Frick, Jeb Dunnuck. A well-knit rosé Champagne, with macerated cherry, peach skin, raw almond and spun honey flavors riding a finely detailed, plush mousse framed by sleek acidity. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Disgorged January 2023. Drink now. 653 cases made, 250 cases imported. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator. Pale salmon pink and apparently much higher in acidity than the Gusbourne 2018. Clean, crisp and refreshing but I'm not sure I'd guess it was pink if given it blind. - Jancis Robinson. Leclerc-Briant – The Biodynamic house every Champagne lover should know. Founded in the village of Cumières in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc, the business moved, in 1955, to the premises it still occupies today in Chemin de la Chaude Ruelle in Epernay. It was also at this time, thanks to the dynamism of Bertrand Leclerc, the great grandson of the founder, and of his wife Jacqueline Briant, that the estate-based business changed its status to that of a Maison de Negoce or trading house. In 2012 Leclerc Briant was saved from oblivion when it was acquired by Mark Nunelly and Denise Dupré, an American couple who are great enthusiasts of the French "art de vivre" and who fell in love with the nonconformist character of the House. They are joined by Frédéric Zeimett, a native of Champagne, who since then has led the House to the marches of Champagne codes, serving the expression of a unique style that is now internationally recognized.
