| Description: | Wine maker notes This Proprietary Red Blend is the truest expressionof its vintage, with each year's release containing different combinations of the five Bordeaux varietals sourced from Arrowood's top vineyard sites. Each year winemaker, Kristina Werner, strives to create the most complete and complex wine possible outside the bounds of a single varietal. This means that the blending process can often go through over ten iterations before the ultimate blend is selected for optimal structure, texture and finish. Producer We are located in the historic Sonoma Valley, a swath of land tucked between the Mayacamas and Sonoma Mountain ranges. Shielded from the cold maritime winds off the Pacific Ocean, our AVA has often been described as a warm pocket in a cool region - ideal for a myriad of noble varieties. For more than two decades we have been in the vanguard of California's organic farming movement. In addition to our estate vineyards, we source from a number of legendary sites throughout Sonoma County. |
