Description: | Comte de Vogüé can trace its roots to 1450, but even more impressive is that Comte de Vogüé holds an unwavering position as a leader in fine Burgyndy wine. One of the most important, most influential, and most consistent Burgundy estates, Comte de Vogüé has a long and storied history, and today the twentieth generation of the Comte de Vogüé family, Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, the granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogüé helm the estate with the aid of winemaker Jean Lupatelli, who took over in 2021 when François Millet left to start his own domaine. Housed in Chambolle-Musigny, Comte de Vogüé owns 17 acres of the famed Le Musigny vineyard, about 80% of Comte de Vogüé's holdings, and the vines average 40 years of age. In addition, the domaine boasts prime holdings in Bonnes-Mares, Chambolle Amoureuses, and both premier cru and village-level Chambolle-Musigny. Utilizing non-interventionist techniques in the vineyards and in the cellar, Comte de Vogüé continues to raise the Burgundy bar ever higher with its pure, terroir-driven expressions. |
