| Description: | The Dusi vineyard was planted by Dante Dusi in 1945 and it is farmed by his family to this day. The vines are head-trained and dry-farmed, planted in soil that is mostly alluvial with some very large rocks. Like Turley's other vineyards in the area, Dusi is on the west side of Paso Robles, in the cool Templeton Gap sub-AVA. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 93 Points - "The 2021 Zinfandel Dusi Vineyard is a touch rubbery to begin, before blossoming to scents of red cherry, forest floor and dried mint. The medium-bodied palate is pleasantly rustic, with gently chewy tannins and a long finish loaded with plummy fruit. Give it a couple of hours in a decanter.". Antonio Galloni 92-94 Points - "The 2021 Zinfandel Dusi Vineyard, from vines planted in 1945, is a bold, potent Paso Robles Zinfandel. A blast of dark red cherry, plum, spice, menthol and licorice saturate the palate. This plush, explosive Zinfandel has a ton going on. There's real old-vine gravitas and texture here. What a gorgeous wine this is." |
