| Description: | 4 ½ Stars 2020 Platter's South African Wine Guide Blends grenache with cinsaut, mourvedre & syrah. 18 (93 pts) pure-fruited & perfumed, but much more than charming, light (12.9 % alcohol), fresh & vibrant: it's serious, with a fine structure to match the core of sweet fruit. Ageable too, though delicious in youth. Wo Western Cape. 93 pts Tim Atkin Mw 2019 John Seccombe uses whole bunch fermentation on the Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah portions of the blend, but not on the Cinsault component. Light, graceful yet wonderfully focused and detailed, this has rose petal, red cherry and raspberry flavours, negligible oak and fine, savoury tannins. |
