| Description: | With a name that translates to "tongue-cutter", it is no surprise that this is released with a little bit of age to it. The grape Tazzelenghe is native to Friuli and was recently "rediscovered" in the region. While a truly unique grape, there are many familiar qualities, including plums, blackberries, cassis and herbs. The 24 months of 225-liter barrel aging brings out tertiary notes of earth, dark fruits and subtle green notes. |
