| Description: | Decanter 94 Points - "An alluring spicy nose on this light-coloured red. Delicacy is this wines keynote, with succulence too. While less rich than hotter years, it shows that you can make attractive Sancerre Rouge in more difficult vintages, which is impressive. The 2021 needs more time in bottle, or can be decanted if you are impatient to try this wine. The vines are mainly on clay-limestone and the grapes are harvested by hand into small boxes to avoid the grapes being crushed and then fermented in wood of various sizes. Maturation is in 228-litre barrels for 12 months. The Pinards reds are a delight. In addition to the domaine cuve they also make Charlouise and Vendanges Entires, which are both very good too." |
