| Description: | 93 JS / 92 De / 89 Vm. A juicy, fruity red with blackberry, cherry and tar. It's medium-bodied with medium, chewy tannins and a savory finish. Delicious now, but a couple of years will make it even better. Will improve with age as well. 61% cabernet sauvignon and 39% merlot. - James Suckling. Wonderful florality and freshness on the nose. Such vibrancy here with energetic fruit - raspberries and red cherries. Lively with a good framework and depth of flavour, it has layers of red fruits and depth but also such brightness on the palate. Easy drinking but nicely structured. Tannins are smooth and well integrated with a cool finish. This has such charm. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter. The 2019 Haut-Médoc de Giscours is a very pretty, expressive wine. Plump dark cherry, leather, dried flowers, mint, tobacco, cedar and licorice lend quite a bit of complexity. There's terrific depth here and plenty of character. The Haut-Médoc is made from vineyards between Giscours and Cantemerle just outside the Margaux appellation. This is very nicely done. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media. |
