Weingut Bernhard Huber Malterdinger Bienenberg Spatburgunder Pinot Noir Baden, Germany
Vintage: | 2017 |
---|---|
Description: | The vines here are 25-40 years old (Alte Reben means "Old Vines") very steep hillside vineyards 60-70% Burgundy Clones and they have their own selection as this town has been known for Pinot Noir (Spatburgunder is another name for Pinot Noir), remember the name of the town was synonymous for the grape. Very concentrated bouquet of mineral spice and fruit here with wonderful intensity very Vosnee Romanee like, wonderful spice and floral notes very exotic. In 2002 they changed the classification only 1% of the vineyards carry this GG "Grand Cru" Status, this wine has a portion of those vines in the blend. Lovely concentration and depth of flavors on the palate with wonderful freshness and a host of spice and mineral notes on the finish, very fresh and firm acidity holding things together nicely. Finish 45+ Most Excellent. |
