| Description: | Aged 20 months in 60% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon The Illusionist has a Bordeaux like weight and richness as well as impressive notes of creme de cassis, toasted spice, graphite, and lead pencil. It's not massive yet is medium to full bodied, with good acidity and ripe yet present tannins, all of which give it a focused, brilliantly balanced style on the palate. Give the bottle another 2 3 years and I suspect it will evolve gracefully for two decades. |
