Daniel Baron learned a lot from his time as Director of Winemaking at Silver Oak Cellars, he learned that he did not want to make that style of wine for his personal label. The focus for Complant is on lower alcohol (13.56%), less oak (22% new French) and less fruit. This single vineyard from Beller on Mt. Veeder shows more characteristics from his time at Chateau Petrus. Cassis, blueberry, brambly fruits wrapped around an iron core, with forest floor and lavender. Earthy and pretty. |
