Lisa Perrotti-Brown Robert Parker.com 96 points Drink 2019-27 Wine maker notes Our family of four makes Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay from vineyards located in the heart of the Russian River Valley Ava. These 30- to 40-year-old vineyards are planted with diverse Chardonnay clonal selections that include Old Wente, Sees and Rued field selections, Dijon Clone 95 and Clone 4. These clones and field selections are harvested and fermented separately and only the best barrels from each lot are blended to create the final cuvee. Producer Our number one goal at Hartford Family Winery is to make intensely concentrated wines from small, low yielding, high risk - high reward vineyards that express unique 'personality'. Hartford Court bottlings are delicious and flavorful Pinot Noirs and site expressive, cold climate Chardonnays. The Hartford label showcases the bold personalities of old vine Zinfandel vineyards (most over 90 years old) using identical artisan production techniques employed for most of our Pinot Noirs. |
