"The 2018 Chardonnay Bruzzone Vineyard is, in my view, the most impressive of these new releases from Leo Steen. It is also quite possibly the finest wine I have tasted in the years I have followed Leo Steen. The Bruzzone is phenolic and potent in feel, yet it retains a gorgeous feeling of translucence. An infusion of bright, saline notes lends brightness through to the articulate finish. This vivid, inviting Chardonnay is superb. The 2018 spent 16 months in oak, mostly larger format, neutral barrels." |
