| Description: | The signature of the house, this majority is Pinot Noir 55%, 25% Pinot Meunier and the rest of Chardonnay, they use at least 15% Reserve wines from the previous five years. A big proportion of the Pinot Noir comes from the south. Christopher D is now the owner and he is a Frenchman that also owns Weston shoes, other high end products and a Chateau in Bordeaux, Remy used to own this brand and before that the D'Aulan family. A very rich bouquet of ripe tree fruits, toasty biscuit and nutty aromas, almond and hazelnuts. A very well balanced style with 11 grams of residual sugar, it wears it well with that nutty nuance from the nose through the finish, some chalky mineral notes and pretty floral and spice notes on the finish. Finish 40+ Excellent. |
