| Description: | The 2014 Moulin a Vent Carquelin comes from 50-year-old vines and was picked on 14 September. The fruit was double sorted and fully destemmed with no carbonic maceration, 7% aged in new wood (demi-muids and wooden barrels) for 12 months. There is a candied element on the nose, a hint of confectionary shop interwoven into the ripe red cherry and wild strawberry aromas. The palate is well balanced with supple tannin, well judged acidity and a sensual, bright to the point of tart finish that lingers in the mouth. Enjoy this over the next decade. |
