The various members of the Mastroberardino family, who have takenplace at the head of the company have had in common one firm and basic value, which has informed their choicesin shaping and giving meaning to their history. This value is the one of loyalty towards one's homeland and orgins, and towards one's natural and social environment,as a means of safegauring a cultural identity. Cinghiale tasting notes: Very light in color-a typical of Aglianico. Very young, simple, a bit out of balance right now but will improve in time. Very spicy nose with pleasant acidity and tannins-almost like beaujolais villiages. Good finish and overall pleasant finish. Not a bad wine-mixed reviews but not typical Aglianico. Cinghiale Rating 3.7 Producer Established in the 1750s by winemaker Pietro di Mastro Berardino, Mastroberardino is Campania"s most renowned winery. Pietro was awarded the professional title of Mastro as testament to his skill in quality winemaking, a tradition that continued uninterrupted for 10 generations and lives on to this day. |
