Surely there is room for both, but this Sangiovese based blend with 15% Barbera and 10% Aglianico hits all the right notes. Light and powerful with finesse and depth. Ripe red fruits, cherry, alpine strawberry, leather, allspice, sage, anise, and cherry again with a crisp note of acid. You would be hard-pressed to find a better value than this for a medium bodied red. |
