A later pick date in the vineyard and extra aging on this Amontillado, 7 years in solar and an additional 18 years in barrels sans flor, produces a deep amber color with rich, warm aromas of waffle cones, coffee beans and hazelnuts. Made from 100% Palomino this sherry is reminiscent of Madeira in a way with less salty citrus and more roasted wlanuts, peanut brittle and cured meat aromas. This takes Amantillado to the next level. |
