| Description: | The earliest extant mentions of Teroldego date back to 1383 when a barrel of wine was used to pay interest on a loan. Since then, its been a staple variety of the Mezzolombardo in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Foradori harvests their dolomitic Teroldego from biodynamic vineyards on sand and limestone. Made using indigenous yeasts, aging in cement tanks and used foudres and a touch of SO2 at bottling, the wine starts with aromas of moss covered limestone, crunchy plum and dark cherries. Tannins ride the fine line between shagreen and velvet and the wine ends with a grilled juicy cherry finish all layered atop a bed of damp earth. |
