| Description: | Rated 97 - The 2018 Barolo Brunate from Giuseppe Rinaldi has aromas of warm spice, wild herbs and dried fruit. On the palate it is warm, soft, round, creamy with a little memory of brown sugar sweetness but of course the wine is bone dry. This is a traditional Barolo with power and intensity but feels much brighter and more modern in the context of the fruit. It is focused, with lovely mouth-watering freshness and a refinement to the tannins though they are still firm and assertive. This, together with the vivacity of the fruit, gives a modern twist to a traditional theme. This is a very exciting wine and to achieve this concentration in 2018 feels like an amazing achievement.
