| Description: | Tasting notes This richly styled red blend is composed of the classic Bordeaux varietals: Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The nose and palate brim with notes of ripe blackberry, mulberry and blueberry, framed by hints of violet and mulling spices. On the mid-palate, flavors of dark chocolate, cinnamon and Tahitian vanilla prevail. Powerful, chewy tannins support the lengthy finish, redolent with brown sugar, caramel and oak notes. Wine maker notes The Central Coast lets us grow 12 different grapes. Good thing, too. It takes four of them - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot - to make our Meritage.
