| Description: | Tasting notes A delicious blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Muscat, Grenache, Zinfandel, and Syrah, our Rosé opens with aromas of bright strawberry layered with stone fruit and a hint of orange blossom. Juicy, refreshing flavors of strawberry, watermelon, grapefruit, and citrus follow with a note of honey and nice acidity. Producer notes A portion of the grapes for our Rosé were harvested in the Lodi American Viticultural Area (ava) surrounding our winery. The warm days and cool breezes from the San Joaquin Delta allow the grapes to fully mature and retain bright, lively fruitiness. Technical notes To make the Rosé blend, both red and white grapes were harvested. Some were gently pressed immediately after harvest to preserve the purity of the fruit, while others underwent a process called saignée, which is bleeding off a portion of the red wine after it's been in contact with the skins. This is where the color extraction occurred. The juice was then cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks with a selected yeast strain for enhanced aromas. To retain the wine's fresh, crisp character, it did not undergo oak aging. Food pairing This light-bodied wine pairs deliciously with light salads and pasta, seafood, and an assortment of cheeses. |
